About Our Local Office

The South Charlotte Office of Right at Home is a locally owned and operated franchise office of Right at Home Inc., a senior home care and staffing company providing care since 1995. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve. We do that by providing high quality in-home caregivers to serve you.

Caregivers focus on helping individuals maintain their independence and dignity while assisting with a variety of everyday tasks including:

-  Light Housekeeping

-  Medication Reminders

-  Meal Preparation

-  Errands and Transportation

-  Assistance with Dressing/Undressing

-  Standby Assistance with Bathing/Showering/Walking

Caregivers are bonded and insured. Our orientation process insures they clearly understand how to meet clients’ needs in a respectful and compassionate manner.  Our Caregivers are also given ongoing support and training through our Right At Home University ( Cert Program )

In addition, we develop an individual care plan which is monitored through frequent home visits to insure services provided by the caregivers continue to match our client's changing needs

Clients and their families have used our services for many reasons:

The South Charlotte North Carolina territory is owned and operated by Angelo & Kathryn Joaquin.  Most recently Angelo worked for Bank of America’s Small Business Division handling every aspect of their financial needs and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from N.C. State University. Katie worked for Bank of America’s Associate Banking Division and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Meredith College in Raleigh N.C.

Their journey to at home care comes from a very personal experience.  Kathryn’s mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 1998 at the early age of 50 and lived 10 years until her passing in 2009.  Although they had a very strong support system locally with 2 sisters, Aunt, and other relatives to help, they still found themselves in need for additional care.  In order to keep their mother at home they turned to a local agency for support.  They believed that this type of care provided the respite each family member needed while maintaining the care and dignity of their mother. They also felt compelled to find a home care agency they could partner with that would enhance the quality of life for the one they would care for and the family members around them.  Right at Home earned their trust and each caregiver must earn the same. “A caregiver that we hire, would be one that we would have for our mother” .

Angelo and Katie live in Matthews North Carolina with their 4 children Grace, Ella, Josephine, and Reese
